1. Create Your Wrestler
Every player begins by creating a custom wrestler. Choose your wrestler’s name, style, and 12-move set, then bring the rest to life through description, promos, and character work. Your wrestler’s look, attitude, entrance, gear, and personality are all theatre of the mind. Describe them as much or as little as you want. Players may also submit artwork for their wrestler to help bring them into the IRW territory. From there, your wrestler enters the circuit as fresh talent looking to earn wins, build momentum, and climb the rankings.
Choose Your Style. Pick Your Moves. Build Your Strategy.
Your style does not lock you into one move category. Players may choose moves from across the official IRW move list to build their wrestler’s strategy. However, your chosen style determines where earned bonuses are applied. A Technician’s bonuses boost technical moves, a Powerhouse’s bonuses boost power moves, a Brawler’s bonuses boost brawling moves, a Daredevil’s bonuses boost high-risk moves, and a Rulebreaker’s bonuses boost rulebreaking tactics.
Each cycle, players choose 12 moves from the official IRW move list. Moves can be selected from any style category, allowing wrestlers to mix techniques and build their own strategy. Any bonuses earned during the cycle are applied only to moves that match the wrestler’s chosen style. If a wrestler does not select any moves from their own style, no style bonuses are applied.
2. Compete Across The Territory
Each cycle, players choose opponents for their wrestler across the IRW territory. You may challenge other player-created wrestlers, local talent, gatekeepers, or established territory veterans. Wins, losses, promos, rivalries, and standout performances all help shape your wrestler’s momentum and position in the rankings.
3. Cut Promos And Build Heat
Promos give your wrestler a voice. Call out rivals, hype upcoming matches, talk trash, or build your character’s reputation. Strong promos can be featured on the site and may help your wrestler stand out in the territory.
4. Climb The Rankings
IRW rankings are shaped by performance, activity, momentum, rivalries, and big match results. The goal is simple: win matches, get noticed, and fight your way toward championship contention.
5. Territory Passes Control Activity — Not Wins
Territory Passes determine how active your wrestler is each week. Higher tiers provide more matches, more exposure, and greater opportunities for TV and major event placement. No pass guarantees victories, championships, title shots, or stat advantages.
